The Tea Salon is situated on level 4 in Westfield Sydney. The Queen Mary tea, a blend of Darjeeling and Ceylon teas, was a wonderful tea with and without milk.
Here are three types of scones – rose, orange and date, and another type I can’t recall. The rose scone was absolutely amazing. It had a delicate rose flavour. There wasn’t enough cream for my tastes! I love cream.
It looks like plenty – but not an overload. I thought it would be an easy task to get through this lot.
Here’s the smoked salmon sandwich. Yum!
Here is my lovely rose scone. I shared it, although I didn’t really want to! Wonderful.
The gluten-free cupcake was a little dry, although the passionfruit flavour came through nicely.
The fairy floss was nice – the custard was so sweet it was sickly to eat.
I am not a fan of lavender flavour. Unluckily for me, this was the flavour of macaron that day. The ganache and the macaron itself, though, made up for the flavour. It was a lovely macaron.
All up, the Tea Salon is a lovely place to visit for afternoon tea. Even though it is in the middle of a mall, it was quiet and still felt a little private. I can’t wait to try more Sydney locations for high tea!
